PVC Sheet Extrusion Process:

 

1. Material Loading: PVC resin pellets are loaded into the hopper.

2. Melting and Extrusion: The PVC resin is melted in the extruder and forced through the extrusion die.

3. Cooling: The extruded PVC sheet is rapidly cooled to solidify the material.

4.Thickness Control: The thickness control system ensures uniform thickness.

5. Cutting: The PVC sheet is cut to the desired length.

6. Winding or Stacking: The finished PVC sheets are wound or stacked for further use.

Feeder → transit bin → loss-in-weight feeding → twin-screw mixing → filter → gear pump → distributor → T-die → three-roll calendar → cooling stack and trimming → thickness tester → corona treatment → silicon/antistatic coating and drier → protective film coating → traction → automatic winder with accumulator

  • Components of a PVC Sheet Extruder Machine:

    1. Hopper:The hopper is a container that holds the PVC resin pellets, feeding them into the extruder for processing.

    5. Cooling System:After exiting the die, the hot PVC sheet needs to be rapidly cooled to solidify. This is typically achieved using a cooling system, which may involve air or water cooling.

    6. Thickness Control System:A thickness control system is employed to ensure uniform thickness across the width of the PVC sheet. This is crucial for meeting quality standards and application requirements.

    7. Take-off System:The take-off system pulls the extruded PVC sheet away from the die and through the cooling process. It may include rollers or belts to control the speed and tension of the sheet.

    8. Cutting System:The PVC sheet is cut to the desired length using a cutting system. The cut sheets can be rolled or stacked for further processing or packaging.

    9. Winding or Stacking System:The finished PVC sheets are either wound onto rolls or stacked, depending on the specific requirements of the end-use applications.

    10. Control Panel:The control panel houses the controls and settings for the extruder machine. It allows operators to monitor and adjust parameters to ensure optimal production.
